Working Together

Here at the Children’s Home of Lubbock, we are dedicated to helping kids and families in crisis by providing a safe and loving environment. You, as a volunteer, play a vital role in our mission, bringing in your time, talents, and compassion to help create a brighter future for the children and families we serve.

What You Can Do

  • Host a fun activity day by planning crafts or themed playdates with the kids.
  • Help with homework! Support kids with tutoring from 4:30-5:30pm, M-F during the school year.
  • Teach a skill by sharing your talents, whether it’s cooking, art, sports, or music.
  • Lend a hand by assisting with yard work, painting, or campus projects to keep CHOL running smoothly.
  • Sponsor a collection drive or coordinate fundraising at your church.
  • Assist with fundraisers and special events on campus such as Fall Festival or Golf Tournament.
  • Assist with the summer program, particularly for younger children.
  • Provide desserts for all of the cottages.

Who Can Serve?

Everyone is welcome! Volunteers of all ages can join us, but kids under 18 years old will need an adult to accompany them. To keep things fun and meaningful for the children, we prefer to keep group sizes manageable. Larger groups may take on exciting campus projects or divide into smaller teams to make an even bigger impact.

Create lifelong memories by giving just a few hours of your time!
